Occupational Health Screening Nurse
Job Title: Occupational Health (OH) Screening Nurse
Position Type: Temporary Contract (Full-Time)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: Two-phase assignment:
Phase 1: 10th August – 18th December 2026
Phase 2: 4th January – 30th April 2027
Location: Main base in the Nottingham area, with occasional ad-hoc cover across the East Midlands region (including Lincoln, Leicestershire, and Derby).
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health Screening Nurse for an exciting full-time contract opportunity.
Based primarily at a central site in Nottingham, you will also provide ad-hoc coverage to three key sites across the East Midlands. This role is ideal for a proactive Registered General Nurse (RGN) who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses recent experience in occupational health immunisations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive health assessments and surveillance programmes.
Prepare detailed outcomes and reports following health surveillance.
Deliver immunisation services and administer vaccinations.
Provide treatment, emergency call-out services (where required), and general health and wellbeing advice.
Utilise customised occupational health software, MS Outlook, and MS Teams for daily administration and communication.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications: Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration.
Clinical Experience: Proven experience delivering occupational health immunisations (specifically Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella) within the last 12 months.
Skills: Fully competent and experienced in venepuncture.
Certifications: Up-to-date certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), anaphylaxis management, and immunisations.
IT Literacy: Confident using standard computer systems, email, and virtual communication tools.
Commitment: Must be available and willing to complete a mandatory 2-week induction/training programme from home at the start of the assignment.
